LEO SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Latino Employees Organization of the City of Long Beach is thrilled to launch its 2025 Annual Scholarship Program!
Every year, LEO offers Long Beach students financial support to pursue their goals for higher education. With unwavering dedication, LEO has made it their mission to engage in year-round fundraising efforts, ensuring their promise to support students in reaching their fullest potential, regardless of race, income, or background. This year, we are excited to offer additional scholarship opportunities thanks to our donors and supporters from the 2025 LEO Churro 5K fundraiser.
6 Scholarship Awards Available:
$2,000 - Two successful applicants will be each granted an esteemed $2,000 Scholarship, recognizing their outstanding achievements and potential. This award is reserved for undergraduate student applicants.
$1,000 - Two successful applicants will each be bestowed a prestigious $1,000 Scholarship, celebrating their dedication and commitment. One award is reserved for graduate student applicants.
$500 - Four successful applicants will be honored with distinguished$500 Scholarship, acknowledging their exceptional merit. Two of these awards are reserved for graduate student applicants.
The Long Beach Latino Employees Organization (LEO) stands as a beacon of hope and empowerment, firmly believing in the transformative power of education. Every single penny raised by LEO is dedicated to the LEO scholarship fund. 100% of the proceeds have been and will continue to be channeled directly into empowering and supporting students through scholarships. This scholarship is open to students attending community college, university or a vocational school at any grade/class level.

The application deadline for the 2025 LEO Scholarship is Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 11:59 PM.

No. LEO does not require applicants to disclose their citizenship status. All individuals enrolled or planning to enroll in post-secondary education by Fall 2025, are eligible to apply for the scholarship program.

Copies of an unofficial transcript are acceptable forms of proof to confirm the applicants GPA.
